Han Kang Is Awarded Nobel Prize In Literature

She’s the first writer from South Korea to win the prize and you can bet that everyone from the South Korean president to the members of BTS felt their hearts swell. Han Kang won for “her intense poetic prose that confronts historical traumas and exposes the fragility of human life,” paving the way for future South Korean writers to be as truthful and daring in subject matter. Also, her Granta book covers are stunning.

Harris Proposes Medicare Cover Home Care Costs To Help The ‘Sandwich Generation’

Hello, hi, that’s us, thanks. Her plan would expand Medicare to help cover the costs of home health care aides for seniors, ultimately providing relief for women who take care of aging parents as well as their own kids, known as the “sandwich generation.” Medicare would be able to expand its benefits by negotiating lower prices with drug companies. Hopefully this, combined with THIS, helps swing some votes!
Fox News To Debut Spanish-Language Show And Website Ahead Of The Election

Did you, like us, also mutter “Oh f-” when you read this headline? “Fox Noticias” is a daily Spanish-language show that’ll be anchored by Rachel Campos-Duffy, who says the show will focus on “the kitchen table issues that matter most to our community,” such as politics, the economy, immigration and cultural trends. It’s important because 50% of the increase in new eligible voters over the past four years has been Hispanic. The battle against desinformación continues.
